We're officially halfway through April, and we have some big updates for you! We acknowledge that our original timeline has passed. Making updates to the frame and sourcing issues for a few components have ultimately delayed the delivery of the first bikes. We're now waiting on the final production parts to arrive so we can begin to assemble and ship the founders edition bikes. Although the delay is unfortunate, the silver lining is that it's given us the time to add additional upgrades to your bike!
More bike upgrades included out of the box!
All Wheelie Fun Bikes will now come with the following additional features out of the box:
- Taillights: We've sourced lights, brackets, and wiring to include rear lights on the Wheelie Fun Bike. The taillight is also a fully functional brake light, so it will light up even brighter when you press the front brake. We've included a picture of the light setup below.
- Number plates: All Wheelie Fun Bikes will come with a blank number plate for the front of the bike, which you can customize with stickers and vinyl wrapping.
- Improved seat foam: The seat foam has been strengthened for longevity, which will keep the seat feeling comfortable for longer!
- Foot peg mounting: We've redesigned and beefed up the foot peg mounting brackets to add comfort and rigidity.
- Easier battery access: The final frame has been adjusted so the battery can be installed and removed significantly easier for hot swaps, maintenance, etc.
What's left until bikes begin to ship?
- Now: We're currently waiting on delivery of final frames, electrical harnesses, and seats.
- Once all parts are delivered: We will begin assembly of the founders edition bikes, and ship them in the order they were placed.
- After founders edition bikes ship: We will collect final payments on pre-order bikes, and begin assembly and shipping of pre-order bikes.
